Artist statement

The piece is a reimagined illustrated book. Each illustration captures a memory of my cat at different stages of her life, incorporated into an ordinary object that she would have loved to play with. As with memories, the more this object is interacted with, the less clear the sequence of events becomes, blurring the traditional storybook format.
